iKnit

iKnit. Sounds like new wave technology for knitters, when in fact, it doesn't get any slower than this. The Betties are knitting a Log Cabin blanket for a specified charity. I just don't remember which one it is at the moment. I just knit, I leave all the remembering to the girls.
iKnit my loggy part and will pass it on to the next logger. iMay see this again and anticipate the next log will take a bit longer to roll.

In other knitting news, iFinished my second Clapotis!

iKnit it with US size 8 needles and Peaches n Cream bought through their online store. Say it with me. Elmore Pissssssgahhhhhhh it's known in my circle that I love to say that and I usually giggle after I do. But really, iLive in Florida and need cotton. Where else are you going to get a $6 Clapotis?

Mods: Only one. For the straight rows iDid 6 repeats instead of 12. iJust wanted this a little shorter and got a 45" x 27" wrap with more than plenty of yarn to spare. i'llMake a tote bag out of the remainder because iLove the comfy blue color of this yarn.

The new job is going great, how lucky am I to be fed lunch every single working day of my life? And if that were not enough, my boss always says as she's leaving for the night, "Don't be late for quitting time!" A real culture shock iTell ya. I was getting used to coming home feeling less than zero, now it's a whole other sunshiny story. Even the old man has noticed a pleasant difference. Speaking of nice work environments, the girl who I'm replacing because she's having a baby, will get a couple of knitted gifts for her little one.

For starters, the Baby Bib O Love ala Mason-Dixon.

Other small knits to come. And maybe, another Clapotis.

Can you tell iShopped for a phone recently? No no no not the iPhone, just Kid M's 4th cell phone in 2 years. iEyed it though. Per itty cool stuff.

If I Knew You Were Coming...

I'm actually having a good time at home, pretending I'm only responsible for finishing the knits and all the bills have magically disappeared. Humor me here, I have too much time on my hands. When visitors like this come along it's kind of a thrill. Forgive the crappy photos, for I know not when to turn the flash on or off.

This also counts ~ sort of, as a My Florida post cause I've been slacking. If I were in the tourism bureau, we'd never have visitors.

That were 82 egrets in our yard, all at once. 82. Yes I counted. I miss my work. I couldn't get them all in at once, but they calmly walked along looking for food while I snapped away. That should take care of any grubs that may have had plans to move in.

It must be nice to have a purpose in life. Back to the job boards.

Random at Large

A quick post before my long lost brother shows up for dinner and in between the job hunting. This is circulating the blogosphere and I'm all for any blog fodder that comes my way.

What Carol Means

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.

You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.

A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.

You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.

At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.

You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

There has also been knitting.

Clapotis the second in Peaches and Cream~Don't laugh, although it gets no hotter here than any northern place, it stays hot a lot longer. I will get loads of use out of this baby and even plan to start another in one of the alternate patterns. This thing is super soft and cheap as can be!

Funny, the last time I was knitting a Clapotis, I was unemployed then too. Maybe I'll knit something else instead; at least until I find gainful employment again. Gainful employment ~snort~ I made an oxymoron!
